Type 3 Diabetes. It's not an official disease, but has recently become the nickname for Alzheimer's. A longitudinal study published in the journal Diabetologia followed more than 5,000 people for over ten years and found that those with constant high blood sugar had a more rapid cognitive decline when compared to individuals with normal blood sugar.
